In 1991, Dr. Ajjan received his M.D. Diploma at the University of Tishreen, Syria. He then moved to Macon in 1997 and began his residency program, and completed his residency at the Mercer University School of Medicine in 2002. In 2000, he was named Intern of the Year for Internal Medicine class at Mercer University School of Medicine. Throughout the years, he also obtained many certifications including USMLE, Animal Research certification, ACLS certification, ATLS certification, and Diplomat in Internal Medicine Board Certification. During this time, he also married and now has three children. He enjoys classical music and world history. His research interests include the cardiovascular and central nervous system dynamics.
Dr. Ajjan is currently working as a Neurosurgical Intensivist for the Georgia Neurosurgical Institute.
